ABOUT PASTA JAY’S BOULDER
Located on historic Pearl Street in Boulder, Pasta Jay’s has been a part of the downtown Boulder dining scene since opening its doors in September of 1988. Founded by Jay Elowsky alongside his parents Jean and Lowell, the original Pasta Jay’s was built on generations of family recipes, authentic Italian cooking traditions, and a passion for bringing people together through great food and hospitality.
What began as a small family restaurant quickly became one of Boulder’s most iconic dining destinations. Known for homemade pasta, pizza, hearty Italian comfort food, generous portions, and lively atmosphere, Pasta Jay’s has welcomed generations of locals, students, families, and visitors from around the world.
Inspired by family recipes passed down through generations, many of the original Italian dishes remain at the heart of the menu today. From lunch and dinner to cocktails, catering, and celebrations with friends and family, Pasta Jay’s continues to serve authentic Italian hospitality in the heart of downtown Boulder.
More than three decades later, Pasta Jay’s remains a restaurant guests can call home—where good food, family, and community come together on Pearl Street.
